Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the DLite browser extension ("Extension") handles your data. Our core commitment is to provide a completely serverless extension that collects zero personal data.

Zero Data Collection Principle

DLite operates on a strict zero data collection principle:

• We do not collect, process, or store any personal data
• We do not have servers that receive your information
• We do not track your usage or behavior
• We do not use cookies or any tracking technologies
• We do not have access to your Discord, Telegram, or website credentials

Serverless Architecture

The Extension is completely serverless. This means:

• No data is transmitted to external servers
• No databases store your information
• All functionality operates locally within your browser
• No analytics or telemetry data is collected

Authentication

The Extension uses your existing Chrome browser sessions for Discord, Telegram, and any website you visit:

• We never see, access, or store your login credentials
• Authentication is handled directly between your browser and the websites you visit
• The Extension has no ability to access your passwords or authentication tokens

Local Storage Only

The only data stored by the Extension is:

• Bookmarks: Your bookmarked Discord and Telegram channels, and website URLs are stored in Chrome's sync storage, which may be synchronized across your devices where you are signed into Chrome
• Layout Information: Window positions and sizes are stored in Chrome's local storage on your device

This data is stored exclusively within Chrome's built-in storage mechanisms and is not accessible to us or any third parties.

Permission Model

The Extension uses a targeted permission model:

• Discord and Telegram: We request specific host permissions only for Discord and Telegram to modify their interfaces and hide sidebars
• Other websites: We use only the standard activeTab permission, which gives temporary access to create popup windows without permanent access to those sites
• Storage permission: Used only to store your bookmarks and settings locally on your device

We never request broad permissions to read data on all websites you visit.

Third-Party Services

While the Extension provides an interface for Discord, Telegram, and other web services, it:

• Does not modify how these services handle your data
• Does not provide these services with any additional data
• Does not intercept or store communications between you and these services

Your use of Discord, Telegram, and other websites through our Extension remains subject to their respective privacy policies.

License Management

For users who purchase the PRO version:

• License Keys: If you activate a PRO license, your license key is stored in Chrome's sync storage to enable PRO features across your devices
• License Verification: The Extension makes API calls to Lemon Squeezy (our license provider) to verify and activate your license
• Instance ID: A unique identifier is generated for each browser where you activate your license to track activation limits
• No Payment Information: The Extension never collects, processes, or stores your payment information

Payment Processing

• All payments are processed entirely by Lemon Squeezy (https://www.lemonsqueezy.com)
• The Extension does not handle or have access to your payment details, credit card information, or billing address
• Lemon Squeezy's Privacy Policy governs how your payment information is handled during purchases

These license verification API calls are the only external communications the Extension makes, and they contain no personal information beyond what is necessary for license validation.

GDPR Compliance

The Extension is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• No personal data is processed as defined under Article 4(1) of the GDPR
• We do not act as a data controller or processor as we do not determine the purposes or means of processing personal data
• No data transfer occurs between jurisdictions
• No profiling or automated decision-making takes place

Your rights under GDPR include:

• Access to any locally stored data through your browser settings
• Deletion of all locally stored data by clearing browser storage or uninstalling the Extension

Children's Privacy

The Extension does not collect information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
